The first time I held a camera in 2010, I had no idea it would reshape everything. What started as idle curiosity became an obsession with freezing moments that shouldn't exist - the split second when rubber meets asphalt at 200km/h, the golden hour light painting a vineyard like liquid amber.
I'm Pedro Thomaz, a professional photographer based in Portugal, and I've spent over a decade learning that photography isn't just about capturing what's there — it's about revealing what others miss. My work spans automotive photography, portraits, streetphotography, landscapes, and immersive 360º experiences, but the common thread is always the same: finding the extraordinary hiding in plain sight.
I've chased Mercedes-AMG through Portuguese mountain passes and captured Filipe Albuquerque in that intense microsecond before the green flag drops — when everything is potential energy, coiled and ready. Working with brands like Mercedes Portugal, Porsche Ibérica, BMW, and Cupra has taught me that every car has a soul, and my job is to find it through the lens.
But some of my most treasured shots happen in complete stillness — dawn breaking over Douro vineyards, where I'll wait hours for light that exists for maybe ten minutes. Or in portrait sessions where the real magic happens between the planned shots, in those unguarded moments when someone forgets about the camera entirely.
My partnership with H&Y Filters reflects my obsession with controlling light at its source — because in photography, light isn't just illumination, it's the raw material of emotion. The 360º and VR work adds another dimension entirely, creating images that people can step inside and become part of the moment.
When I'm not chasing the perfect shot, you'll find me in the studio with Zoey - my four-legged creative director who has strong opinions about lunch breaks and keeps me grounded when I'm overthinking a composition.
Every image in my portfolio represents a moment when light, timing, and intention aligned perfectly. Because at the end of the day, cameras are just tools. What matters is the story, the feeling, the moment that makes someone stop and say "I was there" - even if they never were.

2. How do I book a photoshoot with you?
Simply reach out via the contact form or email me directly at ola@pedrothomaz.pt. We’ll discuss your project and schedule a free 30-minute consultation to understand your goals and budget.

3. What is your typical turnaround time for delivering photos?
Delivery times depend on the project scope but usually range between 1 and 3 weeks after the shoot. For urgent needs, please mention this during booking, and I’ll do my best to accommodate.

4. Do you provide usage rights for the images?
Yes. Upon delivery, you receive full usage rights for marketing, social media, websites, and print. Specific licensing terms can be discussed based on your project requirements.

5. Can you travel for photoshoots?
Absolutely! I regularly travel for shoots across Portugal and internationally. Travel costs are agreed upon in advance.

6. What equipment do you use?
I shoot with professional-grade SONY cameras and lenses, including SIGMA optics, high-quality strobes and LEDs, and lighting modifiers to ensure premium image quality in all situations.

7. Do you offer retouching and post-production?
Yes, all final images include professional retouching and color grading to ensure consistent brand aesthetics and polished results.

8. How should I prepare for a car photoshoot?
Ensure your vehicle is clean and polished. If possible, avoid harsh reflections by choosing shaded or controlled-light locations. I can advise on details before the shoot.

9. Can you photograph food in my restaurant or do you need a studio?
Both! I offer flexible solutions, shooting on location or in my studio, depending on your needs and the look you want to achieve.

10. What happens if the weather affects the shoot?
Weather can impact outdoor shoots, especially automotive or portrait photography. I monitor forecasts closely and reschedule if necessary to guarantee the best conditions.

11. How do virtual tours work and what is needed?
For 360º tours, I capture high-resolution panoramic images of your space, then create an interactive tour hosted online. Spaces should be clean, well-lit, and accessible during the shoot. Usually I try to avoid people in my 360 virtual tours, so keep that in minds.

12. Do you provide contracts or agreements?
Yes, if you want, the project can include a clear contract detailing deliverables, timelines, and usage rights to ensure transparency.

13. Can you help with social media content strategy?
While my main focus is photography and videography, I do offer advice and can collaborate with your marketing team to optimize visual content for social media. Or you can work with my company, amplified creations, which is specialized in digital marketing.

I accept bank transfers, PayPal, and MBWay. Payment terms are outlined in the contract.

15. Do you offer packages or custom quotes?
